The first time recording in a real recording studio part 4
The First time recording in a real recording studio part 4. Hi everyone If you read the first three parts of this story you will have received some great information so here we go so we have recorded the guitar ,keys bass and vocal track now its time to add the candy by that I mean the extras like a string section and back up vocals . I was very fortunate to get the very talented Lori Foxall to do my back up vocals and might I say she did an amazing job she made me sound like Elvis him self it was not an easy task but when you work with good talented people that is what you get ten songs of perfect pitch vocal backup . the lesson in this is use the right people if you want your music to sound good it is worth the extra money and time Ok now it was time for strings and lead guitar fills and for this I hired a cello player and a violin player . Ok I have to at this point say that when I heard these ladies add the strings I was in love I got goose bumps instantly before my ears my music was transformed into incredible musical stories . Alright when the strings were recorded and the back up vocals done and all the tracks were recorded it was time for the editing which was done by Norm I must impress how important it is to have a critical ear for this it is extremely important so editing is done it time once again for a listen on the powered monitors . I am here to tell you this was one of the most emotional moments for me when I heard my music for the first time recorded and produced in a real recording studio well it brought me to tears and as I write this story it is stirring that emotion all over again this was one of the best moments in my life Some Where On a Dusty Road the album had been created to be forever out of the basement . Ok the lesson here is go for it you only get one kick at the cat make it count do it right and you will have a memory that is unforgettable.
