The first time in a real recording studio – Part 3

The first time in a real recording studio – Part3 . Ok so lets review we have talked about arrangement ,order of songs ,budget , keeping your feet on the ground and your eyes on your budget now lets keep moving forward . Alright so we had recorded 10 songs so far with main vocals guitar ,bass and keys it was time to put the drums on Ya! Norm said he new this session drummer that had toured with Tom Cochran and I figured if he was good enough for Tom he was the drummer I needed . Ok so the next day I met my drummer great guy he went into the sound room sat down behind the kit never hearing my songs before proceeded to lay down incredible drum beats to my music I was blown away he brought these 10 songs to place I thought I would never get to . The cost of that kind of drumming is expensive but this guy did an amazing job and was very affordable . Alright the lid was off the genie now I was in all the way the next thing we added was a cello and violin a string section so to speak Norm my sound engineer found these two incredible musicians when they showed up they had written charts for all of my music , I had never seen any thing like this before . These girls brought goose bumps to me when they added the strings I was captivated to say the least . Ok I will take a minute and say this these musicians were all a big part of my sound and to say thank you to them doesn’t  feel like enough these people were so respectful of the sound and emotional ties that each and every song had  to me. Well it seems like there will be a part 4 to this story Thank You for reading my stories it is the reason I write.
